How Pointer Quill verifies custom cursor installs
By Pointer Quill editorial team Current release, published December 26, 2023
Every install command on this custom cursor site must match a file on GitHub Releases or a package id that resolves upstream. When indexes return zero hits, we write NONE and keep the Releases zip.
What we check
- Asset names on the current non-prerelease tag
- Zip listing for SimpleCursorChanger.exe
- microsoft/winget-pkgs search hits
- Homebrew cask and formula indexes
- README platform claims
Interactive Windows GUI steps that were not run on the research host are marked UNVERIFIED in RESEARCH.md. Writers may not invent behaviour for those lines.
Last verified date appears in the site stamp. Re-check monthly or after a new upstream tag.
